We Make History is a curriculum for domestic workers to learn about the domestic worker movement in the US and reflect on their own leadership making history today!  It is centered around the interactive timeline A History of Domestic Work and Worker Organizing. This curriculum was designed by the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) in collaboration with activist scholars from Smith College.

The curriculum is made up of 17 workshops. The first half of the workshops are about the roots of domestic work and the systems of oppression that shape conditions for domestic workers. The second half of the workshops explain the core strategies used by domestic workers to raise labor standards and build an economy and democracy that work for all of us.

We hope you find inspiration in this curriculum, and useful organizing lessons for today! If you have questions, or would like to share feedback, please contact [email protected].
